Based in Washington, DC, Melissa Kopecky is a self-taught abstract artist driven by instinct. Art has always been in her blood, something primal she keeps running back to. Over the past seven years, she's gone all in. No map, just experimentation, failure, rebuilding, and that raw instinct that tells her when something just feels right.

Most of her work unfolds in isolation. Just her, the canvas, and the chaos she brings to it. But recently, something's changed. Kopecky has found a rhythm, a voice that finally sounds like her. It's a signature that's starting to stick, at least for now.

With her second solo show in DC on the horizon, she's pushing deeper into that voice. Acrylics layered with raw fabric, custom-blended colors, and bold textures define her style. Her work doesn't follow rules. It tears them apart. Honest, loud, and always in motion.
